Passing the Baton

I remember my teenage son coming into my home office one afternoon. I was working on a piece of software and what caught my eye is he sat down in the only other chair in the room. This rarely ever happened, teenagers being teenagers, so I stopped what I was doing and turned my wheelchair to face him.

“I’m thinking about joining the army,” he said. Continue reading

Ten Off

Back in the early 90’s a coworker and I decided to rent a sailboat for a week. We both took all but one shift off (that’s the breaks when you work in the medical field). This is one trip I shall never forget.

The day came and we made the short drive to Annapolis Maryland to where the sailboat was moored in a slip. On the way we stopped to pick up beer, soda and some snacks. When we got there, we had to park a good ways from the boat. Fortunately, they had a cart there we could use to transport the snacks and beverages to the boat. It took 2 trips to get the stuff down to the dock. Continue reading

Hi Folks,

Try as I may, I just didn’t have the energy to post yesterday. I apologize for missing a day, but it couldn’t be helped.

If you have a moment, please check out my guest post today on Sreejit Poole’s blog The Seeker’s Dungeon. You’ll find it at: http://theseekersdungeon.com/2015/11/07/walking-with-intention-day-7-by-charles-augustus/

I want to thank Sreejit for the opportunity to share my thoughts on Walking With Intention with so many inspiring bloggers.

Just as Rarasaur did, I’m locking comments on this post so that all comments stay with the guest post over there.

Thank you folks for the encouragement and the community you offer every day! 🙂

Charles

But in my opinion, being self made isn’t just about the statements above. Continue reading

Dog Tired

The picture above is how I’ve felt the last couple of days. I’ve been going through a period of heavier fatigue than normal. I’ll get through it, but it usually take a few days.

To everyone that has been reading, I really appreciate it.

It may be a couple of days before I can comment on those posted that I haven’t already. If I thought I would comment more than a line or 2 then I passed today. I’ll get to them, I promise.
